Talented Prop, Vukile Sofisa is enjoying a new found motivation at the EP Kings and is looking forward to his team playing Super 15 next season. We caught up with Vukile to find out the vibe at the Kings.
The Kings U21 team has had a good season and have been promoted to the Premier Division of the Currie Cup in 2015 – your thoughts on the season in the team and how did you feel after gaining promotion?
Well, it has been a long season going all the way back from pre-season training to the warm up games and to every single game we’ve played this year. No matter how hard the challenge we’ve always stuck by each other and fought together so the feeling of achievement is beyond incredible! And definitely unforgettable.
You have come through the ranks, starting at The Kings Academy and now moving into the senior side – what are your expectations for yourself in 2015?
Coming through the ranks of the Academy has definitely been beyond beneficial as I feel I am well equipped to face the challenges that may come my way. I am looking forward to 2015 and have faith it will be a year to prove and establish myself.
What did you do at the stadium today, your first day with the senior side?
Haha well today was very relaxed and was more of a briefing day just to ensure everyone is up to date with the plans for the near future, we also had a very light gym session.
Where would you like to see yourself in 5 years time in terms of your rugby career?
In 5 years time I plan to see myself playing for my country at one of the major tours, its definitely something I will be working towards until achieved.
