Union Sports Mag chats to Rising star, Jondre Williams….
How was the experience on the recent Boland Landbou tour to Europe?
It was a great tour to Italy, and I got to see and experience a new country and culture. I also learned how people do things in different countries. If I ever get the opportunity to go on a tour to Italy I will definitely go back.
Is there a funny story you can share with us, that happened on tour?
In one of the hotels we stayed in Nice, we got stuck in the elevator. We found it strange that we got stuck as we were only 5 guys in the elevator. We soon realised that the maximum was 3 people or 200kg. We were 356kg.
How was the at the Padua festival?
It was a hard first half. We made some simple errors and both sides had some disciplinary problems. Both sides were reduced to 13 players. We got in to our stride in the second half and managed to run in 7 tries in the second half. Winning the game 57-0, after a 7-0 halftime score.
What are your goals for 2015?
I want to make the Craven week side and if I can be selected for SA schools side.
What do you like to do besides playing rugby?
I love spending time with my family and friends. I love to explore and experience new things.
What type of music do you like to listen to?
Your favourite player and why?
Aaron Cruden, I like the way he plays, and the way he is on the field. I like that he has managed to play at the highest level from a young age.
Thanks Jondre and all the best for the upcoming season!
