Sharks U19 Lock, Hyron Andrews made his debut for the Currie Cup U19 Sharks squad. We caught up with the talented lock to see he coped.


How have you enjoyed your Currie Cup U19 experience so far?

It was a great experience to play in the Currie Cup for a great Union like the Sharks.

Any highlights?

Beating the Bulls 52 – 7

Any lows?

Losing the semi finals

Who gets the guys revved up at half time in the changing room?

The Coaches and the captain.

Do you have any rituals before a game?

Always take a nap and listen to music

Can you surf?

No swimming not great

Do you have any party tricks?

Ja love my dancing tricks

Who is the prankster in your side and can you give us some examples?

Innocent Radebe – calls the guys at the hotel and tells them to come to the reception.

Which competition and against whom, would be your dream match to play in at any level?

Rugby World Cup against the All Blacks

If you were invisible for a week what would you get up to?

Go spy on the team that we are playing against that week.

Which Sharks player do you most look up to?

Peter Steph du toit – Great sportsman and works hard
