EW Viljoen

November 14, 2014

Western Province fullback EW Viljoen has had a dream season playing for both WP U21 and the Senior Currie Cup side. Back from their trip to the UK to play English club, Saracens, EW chatted to us.

How was the trip to England?

Lekker thanx, I enjoyed it a lot.

What was the best part of your trip?

The best part… this was my first tour with the senior team so I got to know the team better and I learnt a lot. That would have to the best part of it all.

What sight seeing did you do?

This was my second time in London so I have kind of done most of the sight seeing thing so I was mostly shopping and walking around the popular streets.

What did you think about the game and how you guys played?

The team performed very well throughout the season and we were disappointed in our performance against Saracens but it is how you learn from it and we have to build from this.

Highlight of this year for you?

Biggest highlight was making my debut for the senior Currie Cup team and also getting a semi-final cap at Newlands against the Bulls.

What are you looking forward to for 2015?

It is always nice to start a new season with new goals you want to reach so that is something I am looking forward to as well as achieving those goals.

Who do you look up to most in the team?

Juan de Jongh

Who would you say is the hardest worker?

Juan de Jongh.
