The small town lad played his rugby at Selborne College and Border at school boy level before setting his sights on the bright lights of Cape Town to join Western Province. We caught up with David in between Currie Cup training.

What is the most important advice you can offer younger players to help them reach their full potential in rugby?
Hard work is never lost, never give up even if you fail at your task. The work you put in will always pay off so what you do today will effect all your tomorrows.
